TikTok Shop for Resellers in Pakistan: How to Start
Co-founder, Markaz ·

Start with the part most guides skip: TikTok Shop — the in-app checkout with a cart button under the video — is not open to Pakistan-registered sellers. TikTok itself works here, creators here earn here, and TikTok now sells ads to Pakistani businesses, but there is no local Seller Centre where you can register a Pakistani company and take payments inside the app.
So the working version of "TikTok Shop in Pakistan" looks like this: TikTok is the shop window, and the order is closed somewhere you control — WhatsApp, a link in your bio, or your own store — with cash on delivery. Resellers are already running that model at scale. It needs no approval, no foreign company and no upfront stock.
This guide covers how to set that up, what to film, how to turn comments into confirmed orders, and what to have ready for the day the real Seller Centre opens.
Is TikTok Shop actually available in Pakistan?
Not for sellers based here. TikTok Shop has rolled out market by market — the UK, the US, several Southeast Asian countries and parts of the Middle East — and Pakistan is not on that list. Two things get confused with it:
- TikTok is available. You can post, go live, build an audience and be discovered by buyers in Pakistan. That part is real and it is the part that makes money.
- TikTok ads are available. TikTok has opened self-serve advertising to small and mid-size businesses in Pakistan, so you can pay to put a video in front of buyers. Ads are not the Shop.
What is missing is the commerce layer: product listings inside the app, in-app checkout, the seller dashboard, and the affiliate programme that lets creators earn a commission for selling your product. Until TikTok launches that here, a Pakistani seller cannot register for it as a Pakistani seller.
What about registering a company abroad?
You will see agencies offering to open a UK or Southeast Asian entity so you can access a Seller Centre in a supported market. It exists as a route, and for a brand already shipping overseas it can make sense. For a reseller starting out in Pakistan it usually does not, because the shop then belongs to that market: you are expected to ship to customers there, handle returns there, and deal with that country's tax and company filings. You are no longer selling to Pakistani buyers — you are running a foreign store from Pakistan, which is a different business.
Be careful with anyone selling you a "TikTok Shop Pakistan seller account" for a fee. There is nothing to buy. If someone is charging for access to a programme that has not launched, that is the whole scam.
The setup that works in Pakistan today
Five steps, and you can do all of them this week.
1. Pick a niche you can film
The constraint on TikTok is not what sells, it is what you can shoot repeatedly without running out of ideas. Products that demonstrate well — something that transforms, cleans, fits, folds, lights up, or looks better than the photo — beat products that only look good in a still image. Kitchen gadgets, beauty and skincare, phone accessories, home organisation, kids' items and winter wear all demo well.
Stay in one lane for at least the first sixty videos. An account that posts a face cream, then a drill machine, then a school bag teaches the algorithm nothing and teaches your followers less.
2. Set the account up as a shop, not a personal page
Switch to a Business Account in settings. Then fix the three things a buyer checks in the two seconds after they tap your profile:
- Username and display name that say what you sell, not your own name. Someone searching "kitchen gadgets Pakistan" should be able to find you.
- Bio with the offer in one line, the delivery promise, and the words "cash on delivery" spelled out. COD is the single biggest trust signal you have.
- One working link — WhatsApp, your store, or an order form. Not three links, not an email address.
Pin your three best-performing product videos to the top of the grid so a new visitor lands on proof, not on your oldest video.
3. Wire the order path before you post
Every order has to land somewhere you can track. Pick one of these and make it work properly:
- WhatsApp Business. The default in Pakistan. Set up the catalogue, a greeting message, and quick replies for price, delivery time and COD. Free, familiar, and buyers already trust it.
- An order form. A simple form asking for name, full address, city, phone number and product. Slower to set up, but it stops the "kindly inbox" loop and gives you an address you can actually hand to a courier.
- Your own store. Slower to build, but it is the only option that gets indexed by Google, keeps working when a video stops trending, and lets you run retargeting ads. Our guide to dropshipping without Shopify in Pakistan covers the WhatsApp-first version, and if you want a real storefront, connecting Markaz products to Shopify or WooCommerce does the catalogue part for you.
Whatever you pick, put the same instruction in every video caption and in your pinned comment. Do not make a buyer hunt.
4. Decide your delivery and COD promise
Write down what you will tell every customer: how long delivery takes, what happens if the item is wrong, and whether they can check the parcel before paying. Then say it in the video. Vague answers cost you orders on TikTok specifically, because a buyer watching a fifteen-second clip from an account they have never heard of is deciding whether you are real.
If you source through Markaz, the honest numbers are 3–5 days for delivery inside Pakistan and roughly 10–17 days for items shipped from China — say the longer one out loud when it applies, rather than letting a buyer discover it while waiting.
5. Price with the landed cost, not the product cost
The mistake that quietly kills TikTok sellers is pricing off the supplier rate alone. Before you set a price, add up everything the order actually costs you: the product, delivery, the courier's COD handling, packaging, your return rate on refused parcels, and whatever you spend on ads or boosting. A viral video with a two-rupee margin is a very tiring way to lose money.
Work it out per product in PKR before you post, and keep the number where you can see it. Our breakdown of how much money you need to start dropshipping in Pakistan walks through the same cost stack for a first order.
What to film so the views turn into sales
Views are not the goal. A video with 4,000 views and eleven order comments is worth more than one with 400,000 views and a comment section arguing about something else.
- Lead with the product in motion. The first two seconds decide everything. Show the thing working — the stain lifting, the box opening, the fit — before you say a word.
- Demo, then price, then how to order. That order. Price too early and people scroll before they want it.
- Answer one objection per video. "Is it heavy?" "Does the colour bleed?" "What if it doesn't fit?" Each objection is its own clip, and those clips convert better than generic promos.
- Film vertical, in daylight, on a plain surface. Nobody needs a studio. Everybody needs to see the product clearly.
- Speak the way your buyer speaks. Urdu or Roman Urdu captions outperform stiff English for most local product categories.
- Post daily. Three posts a day for two weeks will teach you more about what sells than a month of planning.
Reuse what works. When one video sells, film four variations of it — different angle, different hook, different objection — instead of chasing a new idea. The creative ways to promote products on TikTok list is a good source of formats when you run dry.
Going live
Live selling is the closest thing to TikTok Shop that Pakistani sellers can run today. You show products in real time, answer questions as they come, and take orders in the comments or by directing viewers to WhatsApp. It is unglamorous and it works — the sessions that sell are the ones where you handle the product, repeat the price and repeat the ordering instruction every few minutes, because viewers keep arriving mid-stream.
Turning comments into confirmed orders
This is where most of the money leaks. A hundred people comment "price?" and eleven of them end up as parcels.
- Pin the answer. Price, delivery time, COD and the ordering step, pinned as the top comment on every selling video. Half your buyers never message you at all — they just need the information.
- Reply fast, in public. A visible reply answers the same question for everyone else scrolling the comments.
- Collect a full address, not a city. House and street, area, city, and a phone number the buyer answers. An incomplete address is a returned parcel.
- Confirm before dispatch. One call or one WhatsApp message: "Confirming your order, item, amount payable, delivering in X days — should the rider come?" This one habit does more for your COD return rate than anything else.
- Log every order in one place. A sheet, a notebook, or an order dashboard. Chats are not a record — you will lose an order in a thread the first busy week.
Refused parcels are the tax on COD selling, and they are mostly caused by impulse orders that go cold before the rider arrives. Same-day confirmation and honest delivery estimates are the fix. Our guide to COD dropshipping in Pakistan covers the full flow from order to cash in hand.
Where the products come from
The content model above only works if you can list a product without buying it first. Filming a demo of stock you already paid for is a much riskier way to learn what sells.
That is the part Markaz handles. You browse the wholesale shop, pick products with no minimum order, film them or use the supplied images, and only pay when a customer has ordered. Cash on delivery is collected for you and settled in PKR. Delivery is 3–5 days inside Pakistan, or roughly 10–17 days when the item ships from China.
Practical starting points:
- Browse by product category to find items that demo well on video — kitchen, beauty, gadgets and home organisation are the reliable TikTok categories. Kids' toys bought wholesale are another strong fit, because a toy in use is the whole advert.
- Check the China deals for lower-cost items you can test, keeping the longer delivery window in mind before you promise a date.
- Use the dropshipping portal to place and track orders once the comments start converting, so you are not managing a business out of a chat thread.
- Read the reseller guide if you are starting from zero and want the whole model in one place.
If you are choosing a category to build the account around, the best gadgets and accessories to dropship in Pakistan and the home and kitchen products worth reselling are both written around products that are easy to show in fifteen seconds.
Getting ready for the day TikTok Shop opens
When the Seller Centre does launch here, the sellers who win the first month will be the ones who already have an audience and a catalogue. None of this is wasted work:
- An audience in one niche. Followers who came for kitchen gadgets will buy kitchen gadgets. A general account converts badly on day one.
- A product catalogue with real specs. Sizes, materials, weights, what is in the box, clean photos. Every marketplace demands this at registration, and writing it is slow work you do not want to do under time pressure — our guide to writing product descriptions that sell has the structure to copy.
- Business documents in order. A registered business name, NTN and a business bank account are the standard requirements everywhere TikTok Shop has launched. Sorting them out now costs you nothing but time.
- A written return policy. Marketplaces enforce one. Having yours already tested on COD orders means you are not inventing it under pressure.
- Relationships with creators. When affiliate commissions arrive, the creators who already know your product are the ones who will sell it.
Build the audience now and the checkout button is an upgrade, not a starting line.
Mistakes that cost resellers money
- Buying stock before testing. Post the video first. If nobody comments, you learned that for free.
- Promising two-day delivery on a China order. The refusal comes at the door and you pay the return.
- Answering "price?" only in DMs. You are hiding the answer from the other ninety people reading the comments.
- Copying a competitor's video with their watermark. Reused content gets throttled and it makes you look like a reseller of videos rather than products.
- Quoting a price you have not costed. Add up the landed cost first, every time.
- Giving up at three weeks. Most accounts that work took more posts than the owner expected. Volume is the strategy.
Start with one product
Pick one product you can film today, write the price with the full landed cost included, post the demo, pin the ordering instruction, and answer every comment in public. Do that for two weeks before you change anything.
The checkout button will come to Pakistan eventually. The audience, the catalogue and the ordering habit are what you will plug into it, and you can build all three starting this afternoon.
