Factory-Price Wholesale: Lowest Rates for Pakistani Resellers

Factory-Price Wholesale: Lowest Rates for Pakistani Resellers

The lowest real wholesale rate in Pakistan depends on one thing: how much you can buy at once. If you can commit to bulk — dozens of pieces per article — the classic wholesale markets like Azam Cloth Market in Lahore or Jodia Bazaar in Karachi still beat everyone on per-unit price. If you resell one order at a time, a no-minimum wholesale app gets you factory-tier rates without the travel, the haggling or the dead stock. And if you want products your local market doesn't have, China-direct sourcing wins — but only when you count the landed cost, not the sticker price. This guide walks through all three routes, the maths that separates a real factory price from a marketing line, and how resellers with small budgets get bulk-market rates from the first order.

What "factory price" really means

Every supplier calls their rate a factory price. In practice there are three tiers. The mill or factory gate rate is what a distributor pays for full production lots. The wholesale market rate is that plus the market trader's margin — still cheap, but you're expected to buy in dozens. The retail-wholesale rate is what most "wholesale" websites actually charge: a discount off retail, nowhere near the factory gate.

Two questions expose which tier you're being offered. First: what is the minimum order quantity? A genuine factory-tier rate usually demands volume — if there's no minimum and the price is still low, the seller is aggregating many small buyers into bulk purchasing power, which is the model that works best for new resellers. Second: what's included? A rate that excludes delivery, or quietly adds "handling", is not comparable to an all-in price.

Route 1: the physical wholesale markets

Azam Cloth Market (Lahore), Jodia Bazaar and Boulton Market (Karachi), Ghanta Ghar (Multan) — these markets have supplied Pakistani shopkeepers for generations, and for true bulk they remain the cheapest per unit. The trade-offs are real, though: you pay cash up front, you travel, you inspect quality piece by piece, and whatever doesn't sell is your loss. For a reseller testing ten products, buying a dozen of each turns a PKR 15,000 budget into inventory risk before the first sale.

Route 2: wholesale apps with no minimum order

This is the route built for how most resellers actually work: sell first, buy second. On Markaz, the catalogue price is the wholesale rate for a single unit — you share products with your customers, collect the order, and Markaz ships it cash-on-delivery with your margin paid out to you. No minimum order, no upfront stock, no dead inventory. The rate per piece sits close to what the physical markets charge for dozens, because the platform buys at volume from the same supplier base and passes the tier down.

If you're comparing suppliers more broadly, our guide to the best dropshipping suppliers in Pakistan covers how to vet any wholesale source — payment terms, return handling and delivery coverage matter as much as the rate.

Route 3: China-direct — lowest stickers, do the landed maths

Chinese factory platforms show the lowest sticker prices anywhere. What the sticker hides is everything between the factory and your customer's doorstep: agent commission, international freight, customs duty, and local delivery. A PKR 400 sticker can easily land at PKR 900. That's still often a win for products Pakistan doesn't make — the trick is comparing landed cost against local wholesale, not sticker against sticker. Our breakdown of the best China wholesale websites for Pakistan runs this comparison platform by platform.

Markaz China shortcuts the maths: the price you see is the landed, door-to-door rate — freight, customs and delivery to anywhere in Pakistan included, typically in 10–17 days, with no minimum order.

A worked example of landed cost

Say you're pricing a ladies' handbag. Example numbers: local market rate PKR 850 per piece at a dozen minimum, so PKR 10,200 up front. A no-minimum wholesale app lists it at PKR 900 with delivery included and no stock risk. A China platform shows PKR 600, but agent, freight and customs bring it to PKR 950 landed. The market wins only if you're confident of selling all twelve; the app wins on cash flow; China wins when the bag isn't available locally at all. Lowest rate is a per-product decision, not a loyalty decision.

Pricing your resale margin

Whichever route you buy from, the margin discipline is the same: price to the market, not to your cost. Check what the product sells for on social media and marketplaces, subtract your all-in cost, and only list products that leave PKR 200–500 per order after delivery. If you're working out how much capital you need to start, we've done that arithmetic in how much money you need to start dropshipping in Pakistan — with a no-minimum supplier the honest answer is close to zero.

Quick answers

Where are the cheapest wholesale rates in Pakistan?

For bulk buyers: the traditional wholesale markets of Lahore, Karachi and Multan. For single-unit buyers: no-minimum wholesale apps, where the per-piece rate tracks the bulk market without the inventory risk.

Is buying from China cheaper than local wholesale?

On sticker price, almost always. On landed cost, only sometimes — duty and freight can double the price. Compare landed cost per piece, and use China-direct for products with no good local source.

Can I get factory prices without a minimum order?

Yes — platforms that pool thousands of small resellers buy at volume tiers and pass the rate down per unit. That's the model Markaz runs for both its Pakistan and China catalogues.
