How to Avoid Dropshipping Scams in Pakistan

Dropshipping itself is a legitimate business — but its popularity in Pakistan has bred an industry of people whose actual product is you: your registration fee, your course payment, your advance deposit. Here's how to tell the real thing from the trap.
The red flags, in order of certainty
- Any upfront fee to "join" a supplier. A genuine supplier earns when you sell. If they profit from your signup instead of your sales, the signup IS the business — walk away.
- No cash on delivery. In Pakistan, COD is your customer's protection AND yours. A supplier who only takes full advance payment from unknown resellers is asking you to carry all the risk.
- WhatsApp-only operations. No website, no registered company, no office address — just a number that can go silent. Real platforms are visible and accountable.
- Prices too good to exist. A "branded" watch at PKR 300 wholesale is not a deal, it's bait. Compare with real marketplaces before believing any price.
- Screenshot earnings proof. Payment screenshots are the cheapest thing on the internet to fake. Ignore them entirely.
- Courses that sell the dream. The actual mechanics of reselling are learnable free — including from the no-investment starter guide. Paying PKR 30,000 to learn what a supplier's own help pages teach is the scam meeting you halfway.
What protection actually looks like
